Ireland will host defending champions Wales at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Saturday 5th February in the opening fixture of the 2022 Six Nations Championship.

Wales came from behind to beat 14-man Ireland 21-16 during the 2021 Championship.

Ireland and Wales have contested a total of 132 rugby test matches since their first meeting in 1882. Wales have won 70 of those matches, whilst Ireland have won 55 matches. There have also been seven drawn matches between the two nations.
