England v Wales Match Reports

England opened their Six Nations campaign with a comfortable 48-7 victory over Wales at the Allianz Stadium. The hosts dominated the first half as Henry Arundell scored a hat-trick and Ben Earl also went over. Wales were reduced to 13 men following two yellow cards for repeated infringements, allowing England to take full advantage and build a 29-0 half-time lead. The second half started in similar fashion, with Tom Roebuck crossing for England’s fifth try. The visitors briefly responded when Josh Adams scored in the 52nd minute. However, Wales’ discipline again proved costly as two further players were yellow-carded in the final quarter, leading to a penalty try, before Tommy Freeman crossed in the closing moments to seal a comprehensive win.
