Gregory Alldritt will captain France in this season’s Six Nations Championship.

The experienced La Rochelle number eight takes over from Antoine Dupont, who hopes to be part of the French sevens squad for the Paris Olympics later this year.

Scrum-half Dupont is due to play in two World Series sevens tournaments during the Six Nations.

France head coach Fabien Galthie has named six uncapped players, including Racing 92 scrum-half Nolann Le Garrec, among a 34-strong squad announced by the French Rugby Federation.

Les Bleus kick off their Six Nations campaign against defending champions Ireland in Marseille on February 2.
